The secretary took the opportunity to highlight the four pillars on which rests its management: harmony with the environment, so, agriculture can no longer be identified as an enemy of environmental issues; rapprochement between research and production, scientific discoveries are useless if they do not come within the reach of farmers, especially small; support family farming to occupy the place it deserves within the municipal economy; and finally, but not least, ensure the health of the agricultural product from the provision of seeds and selected cultivars, through the proper management and guidance on storage and marketing to ensure that society can consume quality products.

"This seminar is all about with these paradigms. Following the guidance of Geraldo Alckmin to put the structure of the folder in the service of production, nothing better than to share the knowledge of a producer with others. We are also forwarding, through the Brazilian Chamber of Beekeeping, a resolution for the stingless bee is considered domesticated animal, which will greatly simplify the marketing of products. The governor is aware of the need and willing to play this revised legislation. First we make the state level, then we'll try to take the whole country ", said Secretary.

The Meliponiculture is an ancient activity that was started by Indians, before European settlement. The activity provides conditions for small producers add a source of income to your monthly budget. The creation of stingless bees is quite rough and fits perfectly in sustainable model of economic development, It is the main species of the State: Mandaçaia, Uruçu Yellow, Marmalade, Mandaguari, Jataí and Mirim.

"The objective of this seminar is to promote the preservation of the environment, teaching the farmers to use the forest to generate income without degrading, on the contrary, he (the producer) will have to preserve, plant more. We will monitor the whole process, prepare seedlings, provide seeds, offer bees and provide technical assistance so that they can deploy the structure on their land. May use materials that have the farm, no need to buy anything ", said the mayor Alexandre Augusto Ferreira.
