Last Friday, 28, the Municipal Secretary of Agriculture, Supply and Food Security investigated the complaint about the death of 130 swarms of bees.

on the same day in the afternoon, the beekeepers went to the Public Ministry of Paraná, where they met with the Public Prosecutor, Sr. Raphael Fleury Rocha, who guided them to report the facts to the MPPR so that it could initiate an investigation procedure, activating the responsible bodies and that depending on the results will file a criminal action against those responsible for the death of bees, including a lawsuit for the loss of property of beekeepers.

The Municipal Secretary of Agriculture, Food Supply and Safety Cláudio Ramos, expressed concern about the situation since cases like these, has been occurring regularly, however few are reported to the public power. Claudio highlighted the importance of beekeeping for agriculture and for humanity in general, in its various environmental services that it performs, being a sustainable and ecologically appropriate activity for income generation.

The fact will be forwarded to a meeting of the Technical Chamber of Beekeeping of the Central South Territory. The Municipal Secretary of Agriculture, Food Supply and Security, requests that all beekeepers who are experiencing the same types of problems, to appear at the secretariat to report the cases that are occurring and provide visibility and responses to the problem.
