Bee or not to be em Palestra no Chile
The Campaign Without Bee Without Food was invited to participate and give a lecture on the Decline of Pollinators and its activities to protect bees, during the 7 Symposio Nacional Apicola, in Temuco – Chile, in July of 2014.
Chile's Minister of Agriculture receives the campaign kit “No Bee, Without food.”
The event held at University of Chile enjoyed the prestigious presence of the Minister of Agriculture, who learned about the Bee or not to be organization's initiative and received a personalized kit.
The event was attended by around 800 participants, notably beekeepers, researchers and producers from various parts of Chile. In that country, beekeeping is of great importance, for the extensive fruit growing activity, there is great integration between producers and beekeepers, to promote pollination activities. However, Serious problems with the extensive application of pesticides have caused great harm to bee keepers.
The campaign coordinator Without Bee Without Food, Daniel Gonçalves Malusa, was the one who attended the event and presented the partial results obtained. He was received by the president of FILAPI and also president of the Red Nacional Apicola de Chile, Misael Cuevas, where they discussed partnership work, involving the campaign and the Bee Alert application.
